Escape RoomsThe games

Privacy

We keep as little as we can, and nothing to follow you around the web. There is no advertising, no tracking cookie and no cookie banner, because there is nothing to ask you about.

Play statistics

To see which puzzles are too hard, where rooms load slowly and which Reels bring players in, the game sends a few anonymous events while you play: a room loading, a step solved, a try the room refused, a hint opened, walking out, opening the shop. Each event says which room and game, how long it took, whether it came from a phone or a computer, your country and the site or link you came from.

A visit is a random number that lives only in the open page. It is never saved on your device, so we can't tell two visits apart, and nothing links the events to you, your Instagram name, your access code or your IP address. The events are kept for three months, on Cloudflare.

We also count page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and keeps no personal data.

Buying a game

Payments go through Stripe; we never see your card. We keep your purchase, your access code and the email address you gave Stripe, so we can send you the code and send it again if you lose it. We keep these as long as bookkeeping rules require.

When you play a game you bought, the site sets two cookies that are needed for that and nothing else: one with your access code, so the game stays unlocked, and one with a random id for this device, because one code opens the game on up to five devices. They last 400 days. Your progress in a room is kept on our server under that device id.

On your device

The game remembers a few things in your browser's own storage: your access codes, a payment still waiting for Stripe, the sound and movement settings, and which unlock scenes you have already watched. They never leave your device except the codes, which are checked with our server.

Email updates

If you sign up for news about new games, we send one email to confirm it's you, and only add your address once you tap its link. The list is kept with Resend, and every email has an unsubscribe link.

Instagram

The daily games are played in Instagram comments. We read the comments on our Reels to run the game, keep their text for two months (longer only while that season is still running), and keep the names of the players who solved a room for the leaderboard. Comment #noshow or send us a message and your name is never shown in a Reel.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, at info@rosensolutions.se. You can also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
